As a BookKaro Captain, you represent our brand and our community. This Code of Conduct outlines the standards we expect from every driver. Following it protects your account, your income, and our customers.
1. Professional Behavior
✓ Always Do
- Greet the customer politely
- Confirm the destination before starting
- Drive smoothly and safely
- Keep the vehicle clean inside and out
- Dress neatly and maintain hygiene
- Help with luggage if possible
✗ Never Do
- Argue with customers
- Use abusive language
- Discuss personal or political topics
- Play loud music without permission
- Use your phone while driving
- Smoke or consume alcohol in the vehicle
2. Punctuality
- Reach the pickup location within the promised time
- Inform the customer immediately if you're running late
- Do not cancel confirmed rides without valid reason
3. Safety First
- Follow all traffic rules
- Wear seatbelts / helmets as required
- Do not exceed speed limits
- Do not drive under the influence
- Keep the vehicle roadworthy — brakes, lights, tires
- Ensure all passengers are safely seated
4. Customer Respect
- Treat every customer equally, regardless of gender, caste, religion, or background
- Respect customer privacy — do not share ride details
- Do not ask for personal information beyond what's necessary
- Do not make unwanted advances of any kind
5. Payment Collection
- Collect the agreed fare directly from the customer
- Accept UPI or cash — do not force a specific method
- Do not overcharge or demand extra
- Provide a receipt if requested
6. Vehicle Standards
- Vehicle must match what's listed on the platform
- Maintain valid RC, insurance, and permits
- Keep AC / fans working (for cars)
- No smoking, no alcohol, no illegal items in the vehicle
7. Ratings System
Every ride is rated by the customer. If your rating falls below 3.0 stars, your account will be reviewed. Consistent low ratings may lead to suspension.
8. Zero Tolerance Policies
The following will result in immediate account termination:
- Sexual harassment or assault
- Physical violence
- Theft or robbery
- Driving under the influence
- Discrimination
- Sharing account with unverified drivers
9. Reporting Violations
If you witness or experience a violation, report it immediately at drivers@bookkaro.in or call +91 92631 33158. All reports are confidential.
10. Compliance
By remaining on the BookKaro platform, you agree to comply with this Code of Conduct at all times.
